(Greenwood
Village, Colo., Jan. 4, 2001) --
The RE/MAX Satellite Network (RSN) closed an
award winning year in 2000, with another honor.
On Dec. 6th, 2000, the 19th Annual Telecon conference
in Anaheim California recognized RSN with first
place in the category of Corporate Applications
for a video orientation program entitled, "Your
Personal Doorway To Success." It was the
second major award for this video in 2000 and
was the fourth award of the year for RSN.
"We
are honored to be recognized by the Telecon
Association," commented Mike Ryan vice
president of the RE/MAX Satellite Network. "With
almost 64,000 members internationally, finding
'on screen' talent is not a problem at RSN.
This orientation production underscores the
importance of the sales associates and broker
owners throughout our system, who dedicate their
valuable time to share experiences and insight
within the industry. The award is a testament
to the success of our entire RE/MAX organization
and puts an exclamation point on a record setting
year at RSN."
RE/MAX
was in elite company at the awards banquet with
AT&T, Evoke Communications, Picture Tel,
and World Com also receiving honors. The awards
were judged by an independent panel of experts
in the field of teleconferencing, collaboration
and multimedia.
Earlier
in 2000, RSN captured the International Gold
Aurora Award as well as receiving International
Film and Video awards for the production "Road
To Success" and the "Appollo 13 Video
Introduction of Commander Jim Lovell" produced
for the 27th REMAX International Convention.
RSN,
the official educational medium for the RE/MAX
system, was the first and remains the only proprietary
television network created by a major real estate
network. Broadcasting 100 hrs per month, RSN
programming features high-profile panel discussions,
leading motivational speakers, industry news,
technology training, live interactive video
conferencing and formal education. Utilizing
more than 1200 RSN sites in North America, more
than 7000 registrants have received designation
or continuing education credits since 1995.
In 1998 RE/MAX became the first satellite broadcaster
of state approved continuing education in real
estate history.
