(Greenwood Village, Colo., Dec. 5, 2000) --  The newest regional operation in the global system of RE/MAX International will be RE/MAX United Kingdom - Midlands when that office officially opens in January 2001. The new operation is the result of an agreement with RE/MAX Europe and two existing RE/MAX broker/owners in Gloucester, England.

Peter Birkett and Matthew Weston have been operating a RE/MAX office in Gloucester for more than a year and elected to expand their efforts to regional development a few months ago. Between them, the two have logged more than twenty years in the real estate industry.

As the name suggests, the new regional operation will develop and service RE/MAX franchises in the Midlands area of the United Kingdom, located Northwest of London. The new region will join the ranks of 69 other regions in the global RE/MAX network.
