York, N.Y., August 9, 2000)The September
2000 issue of Worth magazine features the results
of its second annual "Readers' Choice" Survey,
and for the second year RE/MAX has been selected
by more than 4,000 magazine subscribers as the
"Best Real Estate Brokerage." Participants appraised
more than 300 financial and consumer products
and services in 27 categories from mutual funds
(winner - Janus) to luxury cars (winner - Lexus.)
Only products and services which readers had actually
used in the past five years were rated. Global
Strategy Group, a New York-based research firm
tabulated the results.
""This is a tremendous
compliment to all the individual RE/MAX members,"
said Daryl Jesperson, RE/MAX president. "Subscribers
of Worth are very refined and judicious in selecting
business relationships. We are thrilled they recognize
and appreciate the exceptional services offered
by RE/MAX affiliates everywhere."
The 2000 survey covered
nearly twice as many products and services with
the addition of Internet services and consumer
items like luxury cars and laptop computers. Editor
John Koten noted, "…we received an even larger
subscriber response than last year -- proving
not only that Worth readers can be generous with
their time but that they also have no shortage
of opinions."
The magazine's stated
goal for the study: …"To measure quality based
on the overall satisfaction of the only customers
who truly matter to us -- Worth readers."
RE/MAX was one of only
nine repeat winners in the survey. An accompanying
magazine profile comments on the unique entrepreneurial
structure of RE/MAX, "… -- a policy that likely
has something to do with why Worth readers believe
they get the best service from RE/MAX."
Other winners include
such names as Ritz-Carlton (Luxury Hotel Chain),
Hartford (Auto Insurance), Ernst & Young (Tax
and Financial Planning), Visa (Credit Card), Swissair
(Airline), Hertz (Car Rental), and Apple (Laptop
Computer).

"...RE/MAX has been
able to improve operating efficiencies by incorporating
feedback from home buyers into the system, enabling
agents to build on that feedback by finding and
implementing solutions to habitual glitches in
the home-buying process.
